Kim has been in the building and real estate market for a lifetime with her family. She attended Eastern Kentucky University where she studied Apparel Design/Merchandising with a marketing/manufacturing emphasis. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science, she then heard real estate calling her name. Kim joined the family in the building and real estate business full time in 2004, and is now active with Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors. She also serves as an ambassador on the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and is active in the Madison county community. She coaches a middle school volleyball team, putting some of her valuable skills to work with the youth.

I was born in Lexington, Kentucky and moved to California at a young age, growing up in the beautiful resort community of Indian Wells, famous for its fantastic weather, golf courses and tennis facilities. After graduating from high school, I returned to my roots and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BA in Public Relations. There, I met and married my husband, Brian, who is a native of Richmond, and we have been blessed with three lovely daughters. Besides dedication to family life, the last 15 years have also been spent working hand in hand with my husband- buying, selling and renovating residential and investment properties.
Real estate runs in the family, and I was fascinated by the profession at an early age. It’s a natural fit for me as I can apply my creativity, along with my organizational and tech-savvy skills, while helping my clients meet their goals. I was born and raised in a small town along the Eastern Kentucky corridor with dreams and ambitions that far extended the heights of those beautiful mountains. I am blessed as a family man with a lovely wife of 13 years and 3 children. I enjoy utilizing the gift of knowledge having received a B.S. in Physics, B.S. in Civil Engineering, M.S. in Civil Engineering, and currently pursuing an accounting certificate. I am licensed as a Professional Engineer in several states specializing in what is never seen as the end product but by far the most critical; foundation systems. I have owned and operated several companies in the past 20 years. Some of those companies consist of Roofing Construction, Residential Contracting, and more. I currently own several engineering firms that span from St. Louis, Missouri to Charleston, West Virginia with the common mission and vision statement of “Relationships Matter”. That mission and vision statement have allowed a 6 year old company to grow over 300% each year for the past 4 years in team members and revenue. One of the greatest enjoyments I have found is investment real estate with a current portfolio of over 20 units with a goal of 100+ in the next 5 years.

A story was once told that Nikola Tesla visited Henry Ford at his factory, which was having some kind of difficulty. Ford asked Tesla if he could help identify the problem area. Tesla walked up to a wall of boilerplate and made a small X in chalk on one of the plates. Ford was thrilled, and told him to send an invoice. The bill arrived, for $10,000. Ford asked for a breakdown. Tesla sent another invoice, indicating a $1 charge for marking the wall with an X, and $9,999 for knowing where to put it.
